A New Chapter of Community Care: The Co‑Op Freestore
Jericho’s Light Club is honored to announce the opening of the Co‑Op Freestore, a collaborative effort between Jericho’s Light Club, Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Grove City, and St. John’s Episcopal Church. This shared vision has become a reality — a space where compassion becomes tangible and generosity becomes shared.
Beginning Friday, September 4, the Co‑Op Freestore will open monthly on the first Friday, operating during Jericho’s regular hours from 6–9 PM in the Community Room at St. John’s. The freestore will be operated by the Vineyard.
To begin, the freestore will offer free clothing for individuals and families. As donations grow and the co‑op expands, we hope to add hygiene items and household essentials in the months ahead.
How It Works
Guests arriving for Jericho’s dinner will receive a numbered ticket at check‑in. After the meal has been served and most have had time to finish, numbers will be called to go upstairs to the Community Room. Each shopper will be paired with a personal shopper, ensuring a warm, guided, and dignified experience.
This freestore is more than a room with shelves. It is a symbol of hope. A reminder that abundance grows when we give freely. A place where individuals and families can receive essential items without cost, without pressure, and without shame.
We invite you to visit, to receive, to donate, and to help us continue building a community where everyone is seen, valued, and supported.
